Two years later the Polytechnic Institute developed into a full-fledged multidisciplinary university – the Amur State University.

East West University
The university is implementing a one-level program of diploma, which is currently
quite required around the world. The program was developed by the university
academic personnel and representatives of the Medical Education Center of David
Tvildiani Medical University. The mentioned medical education center was created
in the scope of TEMPUS (currently Erasmus+) project, financed by European Union,
the goal of which is to implement the international practice of medical education in
Georgia. The group working on the program essentially took into consideration the
modern approaches in international practice and the experience obtained in
medical education, as a result of which current program was developed
